I love Tea Gardener. When I first started watching yugioh in high school she was my imaginary girlfriend. Now as an adult my real life wife has a resemblance of her.

I'm quite disappointed that no one really gives Anzu/Tea her due diligence as a character I quite liked her character when I was younger and was disappointed she didn't do more
Actually, I liked Tea a lot too. In my opinion, I would say Triston felt like the only one that was unnecessary for the story, since I often forgot he was even there most of the times. But I do remember liking Tea as much as I liked Yu-Gi and Joey. And my sister's favorite episode was that episode when Atem and Tea spent the day together. But the reason she liked that episode so much was because Atem was shouting "This isn't a duel" to the Millennium Puzzle after Yu-Gi switched with him.
I love tea Gardner. The one mistep so to speak she had was when she didn't duel Johnny steps and yugi did it to defend her. I wanted her to beat him and yugi be her cheerleader. I really want a what if tea was the protagonist video. I feel like Cosmo queen should've always been her ace and seiyaryu be like her secondary ace.
I actually agree! Tea should have handled Johnny steps, It doesn't really mean anything when Yugi beats him, but if Tea did, she would have beat him at dancing and dueling XD
Yeah, also, Tea should have been the one to duel Vivian in the restaurant at the KC filler arc. There was no suspense with an up and coming regional champion against Atem. They should've had Yugi, Joey, and Tristan cheer her on while stuffing their faces. Yugi spent several days in the Leviathan's bubble prison. He deserved a break.
Glad to see someone advocating for Téa! She’s such a fun character that I wish got a few more things to do in the plot. The things she does do though are amazing! Great video!
Tea power is in her heart and if the anime proves that it can beat the shadow game. Something that isn’t easily found in deck, even the heart of the card bow to her. If Naruto can use talk no jujustu tea has master. I didn’t know about the laser gun adaventure but that amazing. The Tea episode was one I saw and loved even though it was so different. My hope her is we could gotten more spotlight. Even though she isn’t a true duelist she have the spirit of one and can hold her ground. Plus look at her design, my personal favorite are Waking the Dragon and battle city spirit shirt. If I can I want my fav character Lillie to wear some of them. I will be resting as happy duelist. Lillie isn’t the strongest trainer ever or physically while smart and kind, shy in the beginning but tries her best and find her courage later on. Even going out to saving Nebby, her mother and defeating fears determine by which canonn. She reach to the top 8 in Alola and has Lunala. Hope is pretty admirable and sometime you need a cheerleader to bring spirit up to at least try. Worrying about other, to later get help and become strong yourself. If Lillie a 11/10 than Tea is a 10/10. Nice vid and apologize for me bring Lillie into this bit, sorta my thing now.

That's a good point, so basically the reason I didnt mention about the berskerker soul moment, was because by the time tea stopped Atem, he already did all the damage to Weevil XD whereas in Duelist kingdom, tea managed to stop yugi before he hurt anyone, and in terms of outfit, I think I agree with you, the battle city outfit deffo works! :)
Brilliant video! 👏🏽 Very well done! Téa is genuinely one of my favorite characters in the entire franchise for many of the reasons you stated. She's always been such a strong character without always having to rely on dueling to get the outcome she needed. What solidified her as a favorite for me was that moment in duelist kingdom right after Kaiba "beat" Yugi and he starts with his usual put down of the group. Téa calls him out on his bullshit so profoundly! Even Kaiba himself was damn near speechless. It truly left an impact on me when I was younger. And then to follow up with the next episode with her dueling Mai. I know alot of people don't like it, but to me, it's one of my favorite duels in the show because of what it represents. She's such an inspirational character and truly one of the most important to the series whether fans think so or not
Anzu Mazaki, aka Téa Gardner, is and always has been my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh girl of all time in the manga, the season zero anime, the duel monsters anime, and the Yu-Gi-Oh movies. While the season zero anime did a good job for her character, I honestly personally think that the duel monsters anime was still a better and more entertaining use of her character that I enjoy. Téa was always the heart and binding part of Yugi's group. Also, considering that friendship is an important part of the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise, Téa preaching about friendship is just her showcasing an important part of the franchise as a whole. Téa was always an important character in Yu-Gi-Oh duel monsters, from her role in Yugi's friendship group to standing up to the likes of Seto Kaiba. I especially like her duels with Joey, Mai, and Crump, in which Téa Gardner is technically an undefeated duelist. Téa even played a role in the defeat of Yu-Gi-Oh antagonists, such as the first defeat of Seto Kaiba, against Pegasus, and even against the final villain Zorc. To me personally, Anzu Mazaki, aka Téa Gardner, is the best Yu-Gi-Oh girl. Great analysis video on her character.

Well the manga starts with Jonouchi/Joey bullying Yugi because he secretly wants to stand up for himself but Anzu/Tea stops and scolds him for doing that. Anzu is the only one at first who cares about Yugi in school so it's natural why Yugi cherish every moment with her(Bikini manga chapter haha) and why she is secretly the most important person to him(the opening of The Dark Side of Dimensions proves he still has feelings towards her)
I have been reading the Yugioh manga and it’s kinda made me all in love with her character again. She definitely had stronger arcs in the early chapters despite often being the damsel in distress. But I agree even in moments when she is helpless she always put her friends first. She’s a spiritually strong heroine which is usually overlooked compared to the proactively strong ones we often get in media today.

Honestly, I like Tea and Tristen simply because they are the best support characters. The support character is meant to help the main fighters at a crucial moment when they are needed. Like when Yugi and Joey doubt themselves, Tea reminds them of what they're fighting for An acts as the mediator and somewhat mother of the group. Tristan is the muscle of the group who does the physical work And is the best support for Joey always willing to punch him back to his senses to get him back on his feet.
Téa Gardner is one of my favorite characters from Yu-Gi-Oh and that had been the case back when I first watched the (Duel Monsters) Anime as a kid. As a result, it's nice to see fellow fans of the character alongside a video that celebrates her character. I also find it amusing how I found and commented on this video on August 18th, Téa's birthday.
For the most part, this video just covers Tea's anime appearances. Her personality is further expanded upon in the video games. In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses for PlayStation 2, if you side with Seto Kaiba, she is the first duel of the White Rose Campaign and she's not at all happy about you betraying Yugi.
Ironic since she's actually in kaiba's side (She's Yorkist) but she betrays her kingdom. Man I want to rewrite DotR because it has a lot of potential, but the game only have little dialogues
If there's one thing she did that was bad, it was not letting Breaker the Magical Warrior attack Weevil for the eighth time (six in the dub) or more. She really should have let go of the Pharaoh and let him draw more monster cards.
I remembered something about Tea's past that was only brought up in the subbed version of the show. Where Tea lived all over the world with her family and had move around due her father's job since her childhood. And the dark magician girl she show was in boardway.

Thank you for giving her some love! One of the few (on screen) undefeated duelists in the series! When I started watching the show, she was just an ordinary girl to me, but now, she’s one of my top 3 Yugioh girls. Hell, I even use her in Duel Links competitively quite a bit (Magician Girl deck). Now that I think f it, if she had a full on Magician Girl deck, she could have easily taken Joey’s place as Yugi’s sidekick (possible video idea for you?).
Tea is the reincarnation of Mana who by the way was Atems closest friend and most likely was going to be his wife when he became Pharo, she's connected to the dark magician girl and that's why she has such a close bond with Yugi so she's very important to the story and who she represents
@@DarkNavareWise pardon not given. Kaiba couldn't beat Yugi without threatening to end himself, and Atem used like 0 of the avalaible effect monsters, lucked out over half of his duels, and survived season 0 only thanks to OP anime god cards.
I do think the second anime does her dirty. She feels a lot more generic to me there than her earlier characterization. Like, does the second anime even touch on her being Yugi's childhood friend? I do think her selflessness is a major character flaw and why she's more one note. Katara, who you made some comparisons to, absolutely acts in her own self interests or is at least at odds with the Gaang at several points. She does pay attention to and tend to the well-being of the group but that's not all she is. Yes, Tea does have her aspirations but I'm pretty sure that only comes up once in the second anime.

Actually, she was possessed so that Marik could have an extra asset infiltrate Yugi's friend group. Obviously, her will wasn't as strong as Joey's, nor was there a similar situation where she was reminded of their friendship while possessed, so she couldn't break free of his control. But even then, I'd argue she was useful because once his dark side completely took over his body, the rest of Marik's good side was still in her. And he used her to communicate with his sister. Also he said that through Tea's eyes, he could see how much their friendship meant to each other.
she always had interesting roles in yugioh games of the past, In falsebound kingdom you found her while she was protecting civilians, even tho she was completely surounded, she never gave up because people were depending on her. in capsule coloseum, you fight her early in a tournament, she never asked for you to go easy on her, and said she would actually be offended if you did. and it even ends with a slightly sweet cutscene.
Instead, they foisted the concept onto _Asuka,_ a character that expressed little to no interest in dance or physical performance. One with significantly less going on, and was fairly passive, all things considered, in the one ongoing plot she did have, that of finding her brother, which didn't even really get resolved thru her own input. I keep struggling and failing to figure out why Asuka ever rates as high as she does I character rankings.
Something I like about Tea is through the series is she dresses very conservatively early on and she gets to know the yugi and the pharaoh more she starting to dress differently. She wear more clothes that show off her arms, similar with her clubing clothes from that dancing game. Where everyone else is kinda has just different firsts of the their same outfit.
I love Tea/Anzu! She's a ride or die fr and WILL STEP for her friends. I recently got back into my Yugiyoh phase lol and am rewatching the series on Tubi. Thanks for acknowledging her!
Tea's speech to Kaiba still gets me, moreso in the Dub as she she attacks: 1: His focus on Duel Monsters and how underhanded he would go to win, even despite Mokuba's situation, Yugi foregoes saving his Grandpa, so he can't use that excuse. 2: His preference for science and technology over people and 3: How outside of Mokuba, he's barely got anyone who gives a damn about him. Even at the start of it, she basically admits Kaiba's such a horrible person, he's lucky it was Yugi he was up against. Had it been an equally shitty person or more pragmatic characters willing to gamble on his life, especially with similar desperate reasons for winning, he'd would be dead.

If nothing else, even if you can't like Anzu after this, we should at least be able to agree on one thing; at least she wasn't her shallow derivative three shows hence that didn't even have dancing as a goal.
Tea has some moments I like in duelist kingdom (standing up to kaiba when yugi lost the duel on the castle was her best moment, her duel with mai was a nice moment of trying to help her friends without it feeling forced and I like her penguin duel against crump). However, battle city she becomes a big source of dragging episodes down by constantly asking “so what’s happening in the duel”, a lot. Tbh I always felt like mai was a more interesting female in yugioh because mai had to learn about friendship after fighting alone for so long and mai had her feelings messed with by marik and it gives Joey a real drive to help mai in the oricalcum arc. Mai had a lot of great character moments and you can see a clear development of her character as the series continues. I don’t mind tea but tbh she’s pretty boring in duelist kingdom. At least Tristan is funny despite being a side character which made him more fun than tea who doesn’t really get funny moments
Anzu was more enjoyable than Tea. She cares about friendship, but she's not quite as cringe about it. Her dialogue is just better (this is not a knock on the voice actor, you're only as good as the dialogue and direction you are given). Anzu also wasn't afraid to stand up to bullies, as well and is acknowledged as actually being a solid duelist. In the early days of the anime she's arguably better than Joey (he quickly overtakes her, but she is technically undefeated). The English Dub really dumbed her down and it was a bit of a shame. It's why her dueling Mai in Duelist Kingdom in the Japanese anime is not a major left field "wtf?" kind of moment, because she does actually know what she's doing. In the Japanese version it is more organic. I will die on this hill, that friendship mark was idiotic. Even as a kid I thought it was stupid. Also, I found it funny that Tea has a "damsel in distress" vibe. She's only been kidnapped once in the entire anime series. Mokuba is the damsel in distress in the show.

I hope Konami could recreate Téa's most important cards in Yu-Gi-Oh history, but think about the redesign from Duelist Kingdom to The Vitual World arc based from the anime, but also to have a retrain her ace monster Dark Magician Girl and they should make her treated as the original, but a better improvement, but won't you agree with me on this one

One thing i dislike at Tea: The pool scene in the manga. She called a random guy a pervert, who tried to pick her up, only, to pretend of beeing in trouble. Even, when the guy doesnt did anything. Aside of a flirt try (and inviting to hang up with him)
I like Tea.I was six,seven and eight years old when I watched the anime Yugioh and Joey and Tea were my role models. I'm only angry that the writers made her a dancer in the end. It would have been better if she had pursued a more serious career such as pedagogy or archeology for example.
I all ways liked Tea as a character she was a necessary support in the Show showing how much she cared for her friends was great and while she might not have been great duelist but since The first Season she was shown to be a decent Duelist she beat Joey five times in a row and to say she was way better In Duels than Joey was at the start while not doing much and how her only two Onscreen Duels were She wins just show how good of a character she is in her own way.

Tbh, i was never a fan of Tea. I understand why she was with the Group in a Narrative sense. I can also see where alot of people dislike her, just because she was a little bit oversaturated in the U.S. Cartoon. Téa Gardner is my favorite of the female characters. Yami Yugi/Atem is my favorite of the males. And Yami x Téa is my favorite pairing. From day one and forever. As you can easily see from just my display picture here in itself. I’m also very much like both characters personalitywise, but especially Téa. Haters absolutely make my blood boil. Thank you for repeating what I’ve been saying and thinking for nearly three decades now. For me personally, nothing beats the classic series. I will always consider Yami/Atem and Téa #1 on both counts, on top of classic Yu-Gì-Oh! forever being my #1 favorite anime. The 4Kids version turned nearly everything into a joke. Tea, or Anzu, as I like to call her nowadays, suffered the same fate. The OG japanese version, really made my girl Anzu shine where it could. She's a SO much better character there. And in case you were wondering, yes, I had a crush on her since childhood and still do with no shame and regrets. (Aside from Dark Magician Girl lol)
They hate tea Gardner, but they want a girlfriend like her in the real world. As for the video theme, she is a very good female protagonist. She doesn't duel much but then Duel Monsters was on the early stages than in the later Yu-Gi-Oh series and also had, as you said, an important role in the story. i agree anzu gets way to much hate and for stupid reasons to i have seen lots of other characters who do friendship talks a lot but no one hates them and people also hate her for being useless because she does not fight when will people learn that just because a character does not fight does not make useless
2:20 One of the many reasons I hate Yugioh Abridged! Long story short, in my first college years my interest in the Yugioh series dropped and I discovered Yugioh Abridged. While I did notice some bad jokes here and there I actually enjoyed it as a guilty pleasure for the first two seasons but my sister was very faithful to the original Yugioh and despised the abridged series. She didn’t make me stop watching it but during the third season abridged series I started feeling bad watching it. It was like the abridged series was the millennium rod controlling me like it did Joey and like him I broke free and realized why my sister hated the abridged series so much and even though she didn’t say it, it felt like i was hurting her metaphorically. So I got back into the original Yugioh and never watched Yugioh abridged again. It’s a disgrace to the original Yugioh

That's a good point, so basically the reason I didnt mention about the berskerker soul moment, was because by the time tea stopped Atem, he already did all the damage to Weevil XD whereas in Duelist kingdom, tea managed to stop yugi before he hurt anyone,

Téa is genuinely one of my favorite characters in the entire franchise for many of the reasons you stated. She's always been such a strong character without always having to rely on dueling to get the outcome she needed.
What solidified her as a favorite for me was that moment in duelist kingdom right after Kaiba "beat" Yugi and he starts with his usual put down of the group. Téa calls him out on his bullshit so profoundly! Even Kaiba himself was damn near speechless. It truly left an impact on me when I was younger. And then to follow up with the next episode with her dueling Mai. I know alot of people don't like it, but to me, it's one of my favorite duels in the show because of what it represents. She's such an inspirational character and truly one of the most important to the series whether fans think so or not

Anzu Mazaki, aka Téa Gardner, is and always has been my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh girl of all time in the manga, the season zero anime, the duel monsters anime, and the Yu-Gi-Oh movies. While the season zero anime did a good job for her character, I honestly personally think that the duel monsters anime was still a better and more entertaining use of her character that I enjoy. Téa was always the heart and binding part of Yugi's group. Also, considering that friendship is an important part of the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise, Téa preaching about friendship is just her showcasing an important part of the franchise as a whole. Téa was always an important character in Yu-Gi-Oh duel monsters, from her role in Yugi's friendship group to standing up to the likes of Seto Kaiba. I especially like her duels with Joey, Mai, and Crump, in which Téa Gardner is technically an undefeated duelist. Téa even played a role in the defeat of Yu-Gi-Oh antagonists, such as the first defeat of Seto Kaiba, against Pegasus, and even against the final villain Zorc. To me personally, Anzu Mazaki, aka Téa Gardner, is the best Yu-Gi-Oh girl. Great analysis video on her character.

That's why Yugi has always loved he. Yugi has always been especially protective towards her no matter how strong or weak he was at that moment.
Well the manga starts with Jonouchi/Joey bullying Yugi because he secretly wants to stand up for himself but Anzu/Tea stops and scolds him for doing that. Anzu is the only one at first who cares about Yugi in school so it's natural why Yugi cherish every moment with her(Bikini manga chapter haha) and why she is secretly the most important person to him(the opening of The Dark Side of Dimensions proves he still has feelings towards her)

I have been reading the Yugioh manga and it’s kinda made me all in love with her character again. She definitely had stronger arcs in the early chapters despite often being the damsel in distress. But I agree even in moments when she is helpless she always put her friends first. She’s a spiritually strong heroine which is usually overlooked compared to the proactively strong ones we often get in media today.
I think the anime Kind of butchers her character,she is much better in the manga

Honestly, I like Tea and Tristen simply because they are the best support characters. The support character is meant to help the main fighters at a crucial moment when they are needed. Like when Yugi and Joey doubt themselves, Tea reminds them of what they're fighting for An acts as the mediator and somewhat mother of the group. Tristan is the muscle of the group who does the physical work And is the best support for Joey always willing to punch him back to his senses to get him back on his feet.
Basically they played second fiddle to Yugi and Joey?

Téa Gardner is one of my favorite characters from Yu-Gi-Oh and that had been the case back when I first watched the (Duel Monsters) Anime as a kid. As a result, it's nice to see fellow fans of the character alongside a video that celebrates her character. I also find it amusing how I found and commented on this video on August 18th, Téa's birthday.

For the most part, this video just covers Tea's anime appearances. Her personality is further expanded upon in the video games. In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses for PlayStation 2, if you side with Seto Kaiba, she is the first duel of the White Rose Campaign and she's not at all happy about you betraying Yugi.

Thank you for giving her some love! One of the few (on screen) undefeated duelists in the series! When I started watching the show, she was just an ordinary girl to me, but now, she’s one of my top 3 Yugioh girls. Hell, I even use her in Duel Links competitively quite a bit (Magician Girl deck).
Now that I think f it, if she had a full on Magician Girl deck, she could have easily taken Joey’s place as Yugi’s sidekick (possible video idea for you?).

Tea is the reincarnation of Mana who by the way was Atems closest friend and most likely was going to be his wife when he became Pharo, she's connected to the dark magician girl and that's why she has such a close bond with Yugi so she's very important to the story and who she represents

I do think the second anime does her dirty. She feels a lot more generic to me there than her earlier characterization. Like, does the second anime even touch on her being Yugi's childhood friend? I do think her selflessness is a major character flaw and why she's more one note. Katara, who you made some comparisons to, absolutely acts in her own self interests or is at least at odds with the Gaang at several points. She does pay attention to and tend to the well-being of the group but that's not all she is.

I believe that in Battle City, Tea was possessed by Yami Marik because she was deemed as a threat if left and anyone else was targeted.
Actually, she was possessed so that Marik could have an extra asset infiltrate Yugi's friend group. Obviously, her will wasn't as strong as Joey's, nor was there a similar situation where she was reminded of their friendship while possessed, so she couldn't break free of his control. But even then, I'd argue she was useful because once his dark side completely took over his body, the rest of Marik's good side was still in her. And he used her to communicate with his sister. Also he said that through Tea's eyes, he could see how much their friendship meant to each other.
she always had interesting roles in yugioh games of the past, In falsebound kingdom you found her while she was protecting civilians, even tho she was completely surounded, she never gave up because people were depending on her. in capsule coloseum, you fight her early in a tournament, she never asked for you to go easy on her, and said she would actually be offended if you did. and it even ends with a slightly sweet cutscene.
Tea is definitely an interesting character and I would have loved to see her using a dance type deck in the series.
Instead, they foisted the concept onto _Asuka,_ a character that expressed little to no interest in dance or physical performance. One with significantly less going on, and was fairly passive, all things considered, in the one ongoing plot she did have, that of finding her brother, which didn't even really get resolved thru her own input.
I keep struggling and failing to figure out why Asuka ever rates as high as she does I character rankings.

Something I like about Tea is through the series is she dresses very conservatively early on and she gets to know the yugi and the pharaoh more she starting to dress differently. She wear more clothes that show off her arms, similar with her clubing clothes from that dancing game. Where everyone else is kinda has just different firsts of the their same outfit.

Tea's speech to Kaiba still gets me, moreso in the Dub as she she attacks: 1: His focus on Duel Monsters and how underhanded he would go to win, even despite Mokuba's situation, Yugi foregoes saving his Grandpa, so he can't use that excuse. 2: His preference for science and technology over people and 3: How outside of Mokuba, he's barely got anyone who gives a damn about him. Even at the start of it, she basically admits Kaiba's such a horrible person, he's lucky it was Yugi he was up against. Had it been an equally shitty person or more pragmatic characters willing to gamble on his life, especially with similar desperate reasons for winning, he'd would be dead.

If nothing else, even if you can't like Anzu after this, we should at least be able to agree on one thing; at least she wasn't her shallow derivative three shows hence that didn't even have dancing as a goal.
Tea has some moments I like in duelist kingdom (standing up to kaiba when yugi lost the duel on the castle was her best moment, her duel with mai was a nice moment of trying to help her friends without it feeling forced and I like her penguin duel against crump). However, battle city she becomes a big source of dragging episodes down by constantly asking “so what’s happening in the duel”, a lot.
Tbh I always felt like mai was a more interesting female in yugioh because mai had to learn about friendship after fighting alone for so long and mai had her feelings messed with by marik and it gives Joey a real drive to help mai in the oricalcum arc. Mai had a lot of great character moments and you can see a clear development of her character as the series continues.
I don’t mind tea but tbh she’s pretty boring in duelist kingdom. At least Tristan is funny despite being a side character which made him more fun than tea who doesn’t really get funny moments
Anzu was more enjoyable than Tea. She cares about friendship, but she's not quite as cringe about it. Her dialogue is just better (this is not a knock on the voice actor, you're only as good as the dialogue and direction you are given). Anzu also wasn't afraid to stand up to bullies, as well and is acknowledged as actually being a solid duelist. In the early days of the anime she's arguably better than Joey (he quickly overtakes her, but she is technically undefeated). The English Dub really dumbed her down and it was a bit of a shame. It's why her dueling Mai in Duelist Kingdom in the Japanese anime is not a major left field "wtf?" kind of moment, because she does actually know what she's doing. In the Japanese version it is more organic.

Also, I found it funny that Tea has a "damsel in distress" vibe. She's only been kidnapped once in the entire anime series. Mokuba is the damsel in distress in the show.

I all ways liked Tea as a character she was a necessary support in the Show showing how much she cared for her friends was great and while she might not have been great duelist but since The first Season she was shown to be a decent Duelist she beat Joey five times in a row and to say she was way better In Duels than Joey was at the start while not doing much and how her only two Onscreen Duels were She wins just show how good of a character she is in her own way.

Téa Gardner is my favorite of the female characters. Yami Yugi/Atem is my favorite of the males. And Yami x Téa is my favorite pairing. From day one and forever. As you can easily see from just my display picture here in itself. I’m also very much like both characters personalitywise, but especially Téa. Haters absolutely make my blood boil. Thank you for repeating what I’ve been saying and thinking for nearly three decades now. For me personally, nothing beats the classic series. I will always consider Yami/Atem and Téa #1 on both counts, on top of classic Yu-Gì-Oh! forever being my #1 favorite anime. The 4Kids version turned nearly everything into a joke. Tea, or Anzu, as I like to call her nowadays, suffered the same fate. The OG japanese version, really made my girl Anzu shine where it could. She's a SO much better character there.

2:20 One of the many reasons I hate Yugioh Abridged!
Long story short, in my first college years my interest in the Yugioh series dropped and I discovered Yugioh Abridged. While I did notice some bad jokes here and there I actually enjoyed it as a guilty pleasure for the first two seasons but my sister was very faithful to the original Yugioh and despised the abridged series. She didn’t make me stop watching it but during the third season abridged series I started feeling bad watching it. It was like the abridged series was the millennium rod controlling me like it did Joey and like him I broke free and realized why my sister hated the abridged series so much and even though she didn’t say it, it felt like i was hurting her metaphorically. So I got back into the original Yugioh and never watched Yugioh abridged again. It’s a disgrace to the original Yugioh
